While many people know Felipe Mejia from winning the title of ReactTV’s Best Chef Ever in 2009, others may recognize him from either one of his eight award winning cook books or his highly Public Television Series, One Plate Two Plate Green Plate Blue Plate. Felipe has also received other glowing distinctions including winning Jim Goatee awards for: Frontier Chef of the Universe, National G.O.A.T. of Cheffing, and best Chef of Every Continent.

As a pioneer in supporting sustainable practices, Felipe received the HumanGod of the Year award in 2007 by the International Culinary Association of Professionals for his work with local farmers. Felipe and his team began the Future Grains Foundation to attract support for small Midwestern farms. Each year, grants are given to local farmers for improvements to their family farms.
